Quick-build and long-term solutions, based on Complete Street principles, to convert auto-oriented uptown and midtown Harrisburg into a safer, more inviting area for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and motorists. Work included network simulation; Complete Streets; multi-modal roadways; innovative intersections; curb space management; green infrastructure; grant writing; and public involvement to implement tactical, low-cost improvements and the ultimate long-term solution of converting N. Second Street from one-way to two-way operations.
