Wallace Montgomery swept the MdQI awards—continuing a streak of powerful recognition from our clients and peers.
In February, we were awarded the MDOT SHA Modal Under $5M Award for our MD 546 Over I-68 Deck Replacement. This project removed and replaced deteriorated steel beams; repaired sections of structural steel, as well as concrete supports and piers; cleaned and painted structural steel; and paved the approaching roadway.
Then, we won the County Over $5M award for our work on the Ellicott City Reconstruction Project.
Finally, WM received the MDOT SHA Modal Over $5M Award for the US 301/MD 304 Interchange Project (and our work on the MD 5/I-95 Interchange Reconstruction Project was also among the finalists for this award). The project improved three intersections along US 301; primarily it replaced the existing at-grade intersection at MD 304 with a new interchange, added J-turns, and removed an existing median crossover. The project features dual roundabouts, a new two-lane bridge, and a new 25-space paved ridesharing lot.
These three projects moved on to the Grand Award Competitions, where the MD 546 Over I-68 Deck Replacement Project and the Ellicott City Reconstruction Project were named the Grand Award Winners.
Congratulations to the WM Team for superior, innovative work that has earned the respect, and the recognition, of our entire industry.
